Once upon a time, there was a child whose name was Omar; he was 10 years old. He lived with his parents and his grandparents. Omar asked his Grandpa Samy: what is pollution?

Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. There are many different types of pollution. Air pollution, Water pollution, soil pollution, and noise pollution.

Air pollution comes from factories, cars, cigarettes, etc.; it also makes people breathe bad oxygen.

Water pollution comes when people throw lots of trash in the sea, which makes the water dirty, and sea animals can die because of the trash in the sea.

Soil pollution comes from the bad chemicals that people throw on the solid.

Noise pollution comes from traffic noise, building constructions, and etc.

Now you say me how we can stop pollution. Omar said: we need to plant lots of trees so that the air will be clean, and we need to stop polluting the sea so sea animals will not die, and we need to clean the soil, we should not make loud noises because some people are at school, at work, or ill, they all need silence.

The grandpa said to Omar: well done! Now you know what the pollution is and how we can stop pollution.
