Overview

“BoomZista for Parents” is a newsletter published by BoomZista Institute for parents. Education for sustainable development is more than just knowledge based on the environment, the economy and society. The education teaches skills, perspectives and values that prepare people to seek sustainable living, to participate in a democratic society, and to live in a sustainable way. This deals with local issues and, if necessary, global issues, and is a holistic concept that encompasses all aspects of life. Sustainable development is a development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of the next generation to meet their needs. The newsletter intends to pave the way for children by teaching them the concepts of sustainable development from the beginning of the growth process. The family is the first social institution for each individual and parents are the main pillars of modeling for the child from birth. Thus parents have major roles to grow responsible children for both environment and society.

Aims and Scope

To create a bright future, the education of the next generation is necessary which is our vital duty. As different sources are available, it is often challenging for parents to obtain/choose/follow the right one. One of the obligations of BoomZista is creating a trustworthy and powerful database for parents in this area. Through this, parents can access understandable articles about how to raise a flourishing child who is also responsible for the environment, nature and earth, and understand different aspects of sustainable development as well. We will do our best to transfer knowledge of how to teach complex scientific concepts to children and help them discover nature in simple but effective ways. The aims of this newsletter, to mention but a few, are as follows:
- Improving 24 character skills through nature
- Providing a clear definition of sustainable development and the necessary skills, and understanding how to achieve it
- Ways of training and achieving sustainable development
- Role of elements of sustainable development in the mental health of society
- Role of parents in teaching concepts to children
- Role of society and educational environment in sustainable development
- Developing a well-defined program to teach these concepts from childhood to families/educators
